The loss of George Sakowich, longtime community resident of New Hyde Park, will be felt deeply by not only his family, but by all those

who knew him or knew of him. Personally, it will be very hard to sit at the next New Hyde Park Village Board Meeting void of his wise opinions. He always graced a back seat and had little to say during a meeting unless he was asked his thoughts. Then in very few words he would express his very

educated opinion that would leave you with "food for thought" and his ideas were almost always correct.

Thoughts and prayers of condolence go out to his lovely wife Ethel, to his fine sons and daughter and to his many, many grandchildren. George, you were the best...you will be missed. mdw
