Herricks Swears in Turner, Chugh; Re-Elects Grisafi Again
The Herricks School Board held its reorganizational meeting last week at the Center Street School Kindergarten All Purpose Room, its summer meeting venue. The first order of business on the agenda was to swear in Nalini Chugh as new school board trustee and to swear in re-elected trustee, who has served on the board for 15 years, Christine Turner.

Williston Park Never Forgets to Celebrate the Fourth of July
The Village of Williston Park is one of the few villages in the area that holds a Fourth of July Parade. Most of the other communities hold Memorial Day Parades, as does Williston Park, but they are the only ones that also hold a Fourth of July Parade.

Hannah Kroner School of Dance Recital Benefits Cancer Society
Recently the Hannah Kroner School of Dance, 1180 Willis Avenue, Albertson, presented its Annual Recital this year entitled, "TV Memories-Pass the Remote." It was a look into television programs that have informed, intrigued and entertained through the years including some favorite theme songs.

Suozzi Announces September 11 Fundraiser
Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi joined the Nassau County 9/11 Memorial Foundation to announce that a Softball Tournament Fundraiser will be held at the Mitchel Field Athletic Complex during the weekend of July 23-24, 2005. Proceeds from the Tournament will go to the construction of the Nassau County 9/11 Memorial, which is scheduled to be completed on September 11, 2005.
