Eileen Prevete deservedly received the PTA Distinguished Service Award for her dedication and devotion to the Manor Oaks PTA during the time she has been involved in the organization. Prevete could be seen, with camera in hand, at every event snapping pictures of the students, teachers and faculty and then getting them, without delay, to The Illustrated News so that they could receive newspaper coverage in a timely fashion. At times the weather was inclement in one way or the other, but that did not stop Prevete from achieving her goal of making sure that the Manor Oaks PTA events were visible to the public.

This year is the last year Prevete will be in the Manor Oaks PTA since now all her children will be at Memorial High School. This will be a very great loss to Manor Oaks and its PTA.
