Applebee's Restaurant Athletics Vs. Baxter's Sport Shop Cubs
The Athletics met a strong, well coached & disciplined Cubs team and fought them to the end coming up just short. Multiple hits were recorded by Sahil Rawal, Brett Baker, Matthew Mastoridis and Tyler Cabrera. Gregory Kyro and John Stampfli played solid defense. Alex Matos went 5 for 5 reaching base every at bat. Defensive Gem of the game turned in by John Stampfli who caught a fly ball and threw to 1st base, doubling off the runner. Great Play John! Great Game Cubs and Nice Job Athletics!

Vs. T. F. O'Brien Marlins
Matt Feit pitched getting the Rockies off to a strong start. The Marlins pitching kept the Rockies bats silent the first 2 innings. John Leva & Joseph Leva started the 3rd inning getting on base via walks. Sean O'Hara singled to load up the bases. Jonathan Cioffi hit a double earning the Rockies their first runs of this came. Daniel Hodes walked and Matt belted a ball in the gap for a triple and a few RBIs. Daniel came in to pitch with 2 strong innings. Ethan Volk played strong defense. Alex Lopez worked out a walk in the 4th followed by a Michael Barry single, Akaash Ranu walked. The John stroked a double, Joseph & Sean worked out getting walks followed by a Joseph Dimonte single for an important RBI. Matt had a crucial triple in the 5th the Rockies a crucial RBI. John closed out the game. This has been the 2nd strong outing for the Rockies in a row. Great Job boys.

City Line Florists Diamondbacks
On a wet & chilly night, these two teams met as a preview for the up coming playoffs. The Phillies came out in the bottom of the first when Nicholas Winkhart, Frank DiSanto,and Andrew Curcio all walked to load the bases, Justin Diamond stepped to the plate and delivered a solid double scoring 3 runs. Klye Triptree then walked and Peter Dunn drove in another run. James Cotumaccio walked and stole second and third. The Phillies continue to get great pitching from their whole staff. Andrew Schneider pitched two solid innings a held the mighty Diamondbacks to two earned runs. The Phillies defense which was anchored by a great catch by Peter Dunn, which earned him the game ball. Also playing solid on "D" were John Triptree, Tyler Cohen, Andrew Seger,and Cooper Spectror-Salwen. The Phillies are going into the playoffs and are looking forward to the challenge. Let's Go Phillies.

Brewers Vs. T. F. O'Brien Marlins
The Brewers played the Marlins in what was a well played game for both teams. On the mound John Young, Dylan Forrester & Ross Hoffman kept the Marlins to only several runs. Supporting the pitching staff Dylan Forester, Andrew Kraus, Frankie Suppa & Dominick Kaczor made several key defensive plays. Offensively Matthew Kipnis, Jack Schildkraut, Mark Fuller, Tyler Pelaez & Anthony Kimkowski contributed to the team's 11 runs. The Brewers had an awesome season and are looking forward to the playoffs. Go, Brewers!

This game turned out to be a real pitchers dual. Zach Lawrence pitched his heart out with 13 strike outs in 6 innings. Unfortunately, the Surfs defense was just too tough for the short-handed Reds on this evening. Some key defensive plays by Mike Granieri, Scott Kipnis, Belvin Kuriakose and Jonathan Shapero. Great hitting by Danny Coster and Alex Montalvo. Special thanks to our call ups who also had some key hits, Nicholas Perrone, John Leva and Frank Disanto. Great Game Reds!

Andrew Chaung (2 singles, Double) pitched a complete game allowing only 3 runs on 4 hits. The Tigers got a run in the 1st on a single by Peter LoDuca scoring Andrew Chaung who had doubled. In the 3rd Chris Rivera walked, stole 2nd & 3rd & Andrew Chaung delivered an RBI. The game would not have been low scoring without good defense, Chris Ianiro made a nice catch in the outfield, Peter LoDuca threw out a runner attempting to steal 2nd, John Fanelli tagged out a runner attempting to steal home. The rest of the team Anthony Stacom, Andrew Korpacz, Ralph Strocchia, Mathew Zeiger, Chris Rivera, Brent Kane, Vinny Labruna & Ryan Gaitan all hustled. With the score 3 to 2 in the bottom of the 6th Andrew Chaung singled going to 3rd on heads up running, Brent Kane got a big hit scoring the tying run & he also went to 2nd on aggressive base running. Peter LoDuca would come up with a clutch single to score Brent Kane and win the game. Congratulations Tigers on a great team effort!

It was a tight game, but in the final frame the Tigers came up with 2 big runs to defeat the unbeaten Devil Rays 4-3. Ray pitchers did a good job, Andrew Nikolai, Gabriel Diamond & Joe Carbone all pitched 2 innings each. Mark Jason did the catching throwing out a Tiger stealing 2nd base. Trevor Kriegel, Conor Breen, Mitchell Finkel & Salman Poonawala, patrolled the outfield ding a fine job. Andrew Pugliese & Hansel Pacheco both had 2 hits, and played the infield. Coach Al & Joe, hope this loss has the Devil Rays a bit hungrier for the games to come. Devil Rays keep your heads high, & cleats to the dirt, for the best is yet to come! Congratulations to a well coached & high energized Tiger team that came to play on this night!

The Reds, once again, had a tight game on a cold rainy night, losing by only one run. Chris Rocco started the game giving up only one hit in four innings. Jeremy Bernstein finished the game holding the Blue Jays to only two runs. Jonathan Shapero stepped up to catch for the first time and did a fine job. Aaron Brenner went 3-3 for the night and made some nice plays on the field. Jonathan Davis, Danny Coster, Scott Kipnis, and Zach Lawrence also showed some awesome defense. Great Game Reds!

The Expos met the Tigers at Tlast night, in the last game before the play-offs for both teams. The Expos & Tigers played great ball. Expos pitching lead by Logan Diamond gave up only 2 runs through 4 innings. Sam Nagelberg relieved Diamond in the 4th, allowing only 1 run on a steal of home. The Expos scored 4 runs on excellent hitting by Michael Ring, Chris Dunne, Joshua Schulman, Mathew Peterson & Mathew Ryan. The Expos played tight defense with great plays by Danny Caligiuri, Chris Dunne, Michael Ring, Austin Vogelsberg & Bradley Ferber. The win puts the Expos in 2nd. place. Manager Jim & Coach Stu are very proud of their teams efforts this season and hope to bring home a division trophy. Good luck in the play-offs Expos.

The Tigers faced off against the Expos. The Tigers offense eluded them until the 5th inning when down by 4 runs, Peter LoDuca singled, followed by a walk to Ryan Gaitan, Chris Ianiro singled driving in 2 runs. Chris stole 2nd & 3rd scoring on heads up running when John Fanelli grounded out to 2nd base. The Tigers came up short by 1 run, but Vinny Labruna & Brent Kane pitched well to keep the Tigers in the ball game. With the exception of 2 games the Tigers were in every game always giving 110 percent. We are very proud of everyone of the kids. It was truly a thrill watching and coaching you in the regular season. Good luck to all the teams in the playoffs and remember kids have fun! The Surf ended the season on a high note with a 10-8 win over the Astros. All the players contributed to the win. They are all fabulous kids! The Surf are Michael Aronov, Troy Barocas, Troy Driscoll, Domenick Fazzolari, Ace Goldstein, Domenico Fazzolari, Anthony Grimaldi, John Grzmalski, Alexander Katz, Adrian Kwan, Jonathon Livers & Paul Reo. I want to thank the parents, who were all great, the assistant coaches, Joe, Gary, Nick & David for helping the kids enjoy the game of baseball. Most of all I want to thank the Surf players for making this a very enjoyable season for me. I hope the kids had as much fun as I had.

A short handed Astros team took on the well coached Surf team. Behind the pitching of Andrew Goldstein & Josh Garfinkel whom both kept the game within reach. The hitting star of the game was Josh Garfinkel (3 for 3, homerun, BB). Andrew Goldstein continues to tear the cover off the ball, and Dylan "Road Runner" Lopez stole 7 more bases including home. John Lee caught another tremendous game. Paul Gobel & Jake Phillips played a strong defensive game. Robert Thomas contributed with 2 RBI's. All of the Astros that played this evening put forth a great effort, and played with their heart. Special thanks to Ace Goldstein of the Surf who played for us as we were short handed and did a great job. Get well soon to 2 Astros players Michael Glaser & Jack Murmane.

The Ducks let their Pride get the better of them, dropping a close one by a score of 8-6. The Ducks managed only 3 base runners in the first 3 innings as the Pride pitcher Thomas Roulis kept the Ducks off balance at the plate. At the same time, the Pride managed to find holes in the infield taking a commanding 6-0 lead. But the Ducks returned in the 4th, stringing singles by Pate, Dennett, Gaitan, DePietto, Roth & Ibrahim putting 4 runs on the board. The Ducks scored 2 more in the 6th on singles by Dennett & DePietto, and a triple by Gaitan, but it wasn't enough.

The Ducks & Bears squared off featuring lots of action in the field. Duck defense was led by Joel Gross & Alex Taffet, each of whom pitched 2 strong innings. In the 3rd, Gross yielded his first base runner on a walk followed by a shot to left field and the Bears waved home the lead runner. Sam Rossiello said 'no way' firing a strike to cut-off man Jonathan Dennett who threw to catcher Luis Gaitan who applied the tag for the out. In the 4th, there was more excitement at the plate, catcher Luis Gaitan tossed to pitcher Alex Taffet to foil the Bear's attempt to steal home. Stephen DePietto anchored the infield with 4 put-outs. Closer Luis Gaitan iced the Bears to complete the victory. At the plate key hits were made by Nolan Roth, Justin Kalin, Alex Taffet, Michael Ibrahim, James Regan, Frank Pate & Joel Gross.

Dr. Lorusso-Pesiri's Racers played a hard fought battle with a tough Dragon team. Abigail Solecito and Brianna Simeoli led the way with 4 hits each! Jessica Johnson also had 4 hits and 4 RBI's along with Christina Formica who played great at first base. Go Racers!

Roadsters lost to Glen Oaks #1 on a rain shortened game. Although it was a sloppy night to be out, Lauren Kurre, Ailesh Malone, Alexandra Pappacena and Erin Rivera made spectacular defensive plays. Kathryn Regan, Joanna Verde, and Emma McGrath provided the offense. We'll get them next game girls!
