May 28 - The New Hyde Park Memorial Day Parade

On May 28 the Annual New Hyde Park Memorial Day Parade will step off from Hillside Boulevard at 10 a.m. The parade will head south to Jericho Turnpike, then east to New Hyde Park Village Hall at the corner of New Hyde Park Road and Jericho Turnpike. The marchers will stop for a brief memorial ceremony at the Veteran's Rock on the grounds of village hall and then will proceed north on New Hyde Park Road and west on Lincoln Avenue to the corner of Lincoln and Wilton Street to Memorial Park. At Memorial Park the remaining ceremonies will be held ending with the placing of the wreaths at the memorial plaque.

May 30 - Garden City Park Memorial Day Parade

The Garden City Park Fire Department and Veterans of Foreign Wars will hold its Annual Memorial Day Parade on May 30. The parade

will step off at Jericho Turnpike and Denton Avenue at 9 a.m. and will head east on Jericho to Central Avenue, north on Central to wind its way to Garden City Park School at Central Avenue and Third Street. At the Garden City Park School there will be a brief memorial ceremony.
