Soccer Bunnies - The Soccer Bunnies deserve double praise as they played with their usual bouncy enthusiasm on successive days in different climatic zones; on Saturday they played almost to half time against a tough Hot-Shots team. Then the heavens opened and the absence of lifeboats at the field meant the game had to end. This was not before the Bunnies had thwarted their opponents with valiant defense time and again, and created some exciting offensive opportunities of their own. Same playing style on Sunday as the Bunnies hopped to a hot performance as hot as the beautiful weather against the tough Soccer Tigers. Our goalies, Hannah Arkin and Aoife Fitzgerald were brave and strong and performed well outfield also. Andrea and Maya Castro put in a great effort on offense and defense. Melanie Valdes had another mighty allround game. Claire Friel and Cassidy Lange were excellent on defense, getting in some crucial tackles. Hannah Arkin and Emma Nidermaier were their usual outstanding offensive selves. Way to go, Bunnies, we're all proud of how well you played and had fun!

Kickin' Kittens vs. Little Princesses - The sun finally came out on Sunday to watch Kittens and the Princesses go head to head. The Kittens had fun playing against their very well coached opponents. Caitlin Scherder played a very good game passing the ball and defending ferociously. Taylor Cosme used her speed to pressure the Princesses' defense. Brianna Singh showed confidence and determination getting many touches on the ball. Catherine Saketos used good ball control getting around defenders and passing to her teammates. Sarahelena Barrios was all over the field and demonstrated creative footwork to get a shot on goal. Isabel Ryan played a terrific game on both sides of the ball and made many saves as goalie. Katya Keblish who was very focused, played her most impressive game of the spring pursuing the ball with vigor and enthusiasm. Arianna Ramdass put forth perhaps her best game yet, she was assertive during the game and utilized her speed to dribble the ball up the field. We missed Eva Chan (hope you had a great time). Our next game will be Thursday April 28 at 5:00 P.M. Thank you to all the Kitten's fans for your continued support. Keep on kickin' Kittens. Little Princesses vs Kittens - What an entertaining game! The Little Princesses and the Kittens were outstanding this week. Jackie led a fired-up Little Princesses offense scoring twice in the opening half. Catherine was all over the ball just missing scoring several times. Tara was back to full strength pressuring the tough Kittens defense all afternoon. Chandini had her strongest game of the season playing solid offense and in goal. Laura continued her strong play on offense for the Little Princesses, coming close to scoring a goal. Jessica showed great ball control constantly controlling the ball in her defensive zone and carrying it into the offensive end. Ashley had a strong offensive first half, before moving into the goal for the second half and shutting down the Kittens offense. Super game girls, the parents of both teams truly enjoyed the game

Cheetah Power - On a hot, sunny day the Power played a great game and fought a titanic struggle against the super Thundercats. Our goalies Aisling Fitzgerald and Amanda Commisso did great and also were very solid when playing on defense. Taylor Barnard played another great all-round game and was matched by Camille Bangug's strong performance in the same vein. Sophie Robinson and Emily Smith played hard and were very strong for the whole game. Daniella Fusaro and McKenzie Lynch once again were excellent on offense as they terrified the defense. The girls all played hard for the whole game and made their fans proud. ....surely ESPN can't be far off - Well done Power!

Soccer Power 1 Thunder Cats 1 - When these two talented teams get together, it always turns out to be a nail biter. The Soccer Power offense peppered the Thunder Cats net but found it difficult to break through. Dureya Syed, Alenia Farmer and Gabby Apuzzo continually put pressure on the defense. The Soccer Power finally broke through as Dena Cavallaro slashed through the left side of the defense and fired a shot that was blocked and she blasted in the re-bound for the score. The Soccer Power defense was led by Tabinda Syed, Nicole Clark and Sabrina Kalman as they kept the talented Thunder Cats from scoring. The Thunder Cats finally broke through with under a minute left for the tie. Our goaltending was exceptional as Gabby and Nicole patrolled our goal. Great team work girls. See everyone on Saturday, April 30th!

Thunder Cats 1 Soccer Power 1 - The Thundercats played another very tough team and came away with a come from behind 1 -1 tie.Our goalies, Kadambari Suri and Kaitlyn Colgan, again played very well turning away many tough shots. The defensive unit anchored by Eve Rigas along with Marissa Pino and Karina Yu was terrific in standing up to the offense of the Power. Our two forwards really played an awesome game and displayed some great ball skills and unselfishness. They were Stephanie Jozkowski and Christine Bunyon who scored our goal on a true team effort.Girls, you should be proud of your hard work and having to play without any substitutes.

Princesses 2 vs Amazing Cats 0 - The Princesses and Amazing Cats added a little sunshine on this deary weekend. Both teams played solid and unselfish soccer, displaying great teamwork and passing skills. Samantha, Jean Marie and Odellia combined in goal holding the talented Amazing Cats offense in check. Ariana once again anchored the solid defensive effort for the Princesses with strong support from Brittany. Laura was aggressive on offense, creating several scoring opportunities. Nicole was quite active on offense for the Princesses with multiple shots on goal. The only goals of the day were both scored by Katie, who twice used her speed to split the Amazing Cats defense and find the back of the net. The parents of all the girls should be very proud of them for their tremendous show of sportsmanship and skill. Great job Princesses!

Rainbow Cats 1 Soccer Tigers 3 - The Rainbow Cats played with a "never give up" mindset against a very talented Soccer Tiger squad. The Rainbow Cats, with no substitutes played a wonderful game. Super goalkeeping was shared by Lisa Caliguri, Adriana Brigulio, Jenna Ferrante, Meghan Lotti, and Regina Siciliano. Jenna Ferrante used strong dribbling and sent the ball into the net for our goal. Ketherine McCune was superb as a forward and consistently kept the pressure on the Tiger defense. Regina Siciliano on offense was awesome with dynamite footwork on the ball. Nicole Vella played super defense and always went after the ball on offense. Adriana Brigulio was terrefic on offense, with super kicks on the ball. The Lady Jaguars pulled the plug on The Long Beach Power defeating them by the score of 3-2. The Lady Jags came to play with Gabby Tomasini leading the way. By the days end Gabby would tally 2 of the Lady Jags goals. Ashley Tuffy continues to be the main stay of the team. "She had another excellent game, none of the goals scored were her fault!" exclaimed Assistant Coach Bernard Malone. The game was exciting...the teams not only battled each other they had to deal with the

heavy rain at times. The game went back and forth. With the score being 2-1 the Lady Jaguars had a chance to pull away. One of the N.H.P. player's was fouled in the penalty box. The following penalty shot sailed just wide of the net allowing the Power to pick up their game. The Power knotted the game at 2-2. The battle continued with neither team finding the net. With time running out Alison Richutti scored the game winning goal. This game shows that the Lady Jaguars can play with Long Island's Elite teams. Team work is the answer, the more that this team plays together the better they get. The Lady Jaguars are; Jillian Graziano, Alison Richutti, Emma McGrath, Erica Sousa, Julianne Randazzo, Meaghan Ginty, Jillian Stacom, Emma Innella, Gabby Tomasini, Ashley Tuffy, Ailish Malone and

Enza Decresenzo. Thanks to all of the parents and friends who braved the weather to support the team.

NHP A - 5 Rockville Centre - 2

It was a rainy Saturday and after an hour of grounds keeping, the small puddles were dryed and a lull in the rain allowed us to start. New Hyde Park opened up the first half with 3 goals by Justin, Manny and Gino. But it was the passing and the tip-ins that made them happen. Alex opened the 2nd half with an unassisted goal in the first minute and then returned to defense. Rockville Centre scored twice but that was all that our goalie, Matt, would allow them today. David closed the game with our fifth goal. Thanks to all who helped with our field today. David, Sammy and Justin dryed up the water and Mike Magenheim and Rockville Centre helped with the nets.
