I am pleased to wholeheartedly support Christine Turner and Nalini Chugh for the position of trustee for the Herricks Board of Education. I have known both these women for many years and understand how beneficial they can be to our community.
Ms. Turner and I have served together on the Herricks Character Education Committee for the past two years. By her being involved with this committee says it all - her devotion to developing moral, good character for our students, teachers and parents can only bring a better world for all of us. She has been a pleasure to work with in my many years in the PTA, always assisting in any way she can. Her insightful comments are always welcome. Ms. Turner has always been fighting for the best in Herricks and will continue to do so. It is this reason I believe she should stay on the board.
Ms. Chugh and I have known each other for many years throughout the various PTAs and district committees. She is an extremely intelligent, thoughtful person. In her most recent capacity as high school PTA co-president, she has brought out the best in our students and staff. I know she is highly respected throughout our community. She volunteers her time in many endeavors and always tries to promote cultural awareness. Ms. Chugh would bring a fresh outlook to the board. I have full faith that she will make the right choices for Herricks in the years to come.
I urge you to join me in voting for both Christine Turner and Nalini Chugh on May 17. Let's keep Herricks moving forward to an even brighter future.
