Sheila Bandyopadhyay, a senior at Memorial High, worked all summer at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmingtown, CT with Dr. Depak Das. Her project, entitled, "Effects of Carbon Monoxide Signaling on DNA Repair in the Ischemic Heart," examined the effect of a well-known poisonous gas, carbon monoxide, on tissue repair to the heart.
