Councilman Ferrara Protests Town Supervisor's Proposed Budget
In a press release, followed by a press conference, North Hempstead Town Councilman Angelo Ferrara, along with Frank Moroney, former town councilman, protested the budget to be presented by the town to the public next Thursday, Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at town hall on Plandome Road in Manhasset.

After months of interviewing, the New Hyde Park/Garden City Park School Board has appointed Steven Siracusa as its new string teacher. He will be present at the next meeting to meet the community.

The Vietri Associates Cubs played their sixth game of the fall season on Saturday October 23, 2004 only a few days after the Yankees lost to the Red Sox. The short handed Cubs played the Mets tough on the next to last game of the season. The Cubs hit all day lead by Jacob Leeds, Jacob Seidenberg ,Patrick McMahon and James Messina who had five hits. In the field the Cubs were lead by the slick fielding of Jared Diamond, Antonio Prunella, and Matthew Vowinkel. On a personal note, as an avid Yankee fan it was a tough week, but as my son came to the plate his first time up and lined a double to right the Yankee loss no longer mattered as everything was put in it's proper perspective. Watching your kids play baseball win or lose is better than any World Series Championship. Let's go Cubs!
