August 16, 2004 Hand Rolled Bagels White Sox (10) Vs. Garden City South (3) The Sox bounced back after last weeks loss by beating G. C. South 10 - 3. Mitchell Schwartz led off the 1st with a walk, Jared Root (3 for 4, 2 RBI, SB) followed with a single. With 2 outs Dylan Lopez reached on error picking up 2 RBI. It was 2 to 1 White Sox after 1 inning. Jonathan Davis (1 for 1, RBI, SB) and Mitchell both walked to start the 2nd. Jared had an infield base hit to load the bases then Dylan Clark walked and scored a run making it 3 to 2 Sox. They added another run in the 3rd on a Mike Granieri walk which led to a run when Jonathan singled for a RBI. Dylan Lopez (3 RBI) added another run for the Sox in the 4th with a sac fly, which scored Andrew Chaung who had walked and stolen 2 bases. In the top of the 5th walks to Mike, Jonathan and John Lee loaded the bases. Garden City gave up a run on a walk to Mitchell. Jared followed with a 2 run double. Dylan Clark and Dylan Lopez were walked to load the bases again then Vinny Labruna capped the 5 run inning with an RBI single. Jared, Dylan C., Mike, Mitchell, Dylan L. and Andrew made great defensive plays. Pitching for the Sox were Dylan Clark with 7k's in 3 innings and Jared Root who pitched 2 innings with 3k's. Jared and Dylan C. did a great job sharing catcher duties also. The Sox won 10-3 in a well-played game. Great job boys! FULL STORY
