Judge Fairgrieve Joins Forces With Peter Hawkins for DWI Program
During this entire school year Nassau County District Court Judge Scott Fairgrieve, renowned wheelchair racer Peter Hawkins and Nassau County Jail DWI Specialist Frances Barry/Doyle, CSW have been traveling from high school to high school delivering a stunning program centered on driving while intoxicated. The program is given to students who are enrolled in the Driver's Education program at each of the high schools.

Residents Pack New Hyde Park Budget Hearing
Unlike the budget meeting of last week when only 15 or so residents were in attendance, the budget hearing was absolutely packed to standing-room-only capacity.

Merillon Little League Scores
The two teams met for the third time this season. The Athletics' bats have remained hot. Benjamin Lee, James Cotumaccio, Matthew Theodoropoulos, Justin Roth, Joseph Tricarico and Kenny Nygard each had four hits. The Athletics defense was solid as in the weeks past. Michael Lopez, Nicholas Winkhart, Michael Husch and John Compton were responsible for many outs. Antonio Prunella hit a deep double to right field to contribute to the offense. Erik Jaklitsch played well behind the plate and his clutch hitting earned him the game ball. Thanks again to all who have made this a great season. Let Go As
