Herricks Board Votes to Submit Same Budget on June 15 for Revote
After all of the people who wanted to be heard were heard in the packed cafeteria at the Herricks Community Center, it was decided by the Herricks board, that the budget of $72,323,963 would remain the same and would be put up for a revote on June 15 with a budget hearing set for June 7. Both events will be held at the Herricks Community Center.

New Hyde Park School to Reduce Budget for June 15 Revote
At a meeting of the New Hyde Park/Garden City Park School Board, after an agonizing look at the recommendations by New Hyde Park/Garden City Park Superintendent Joseph Rudaitis, the board voted to reduce the $23,758,624 budget by $191,128. This translates into a budget to budget reduction of 8.97 percent and 7.65 percent tax levy or an amount of approximately $158.24 to be paid by each homeowner.

Merillon Little League Scores
The Braves played the Mets in a game that delighted the fans of both teams. As the season moves along the Braves have continued to show vast improvement. Brendan Sullivan, Maxwell Nettler & Brendan Quinn were outstanding at the plate having multiple hit games. Mateo Diaz, Frank Suppa, Michael Kemmet & Matt O'Connor also had a terrific game with many outstanding plays in the field that helped the Braves defend against a strong Mets' squad. Thomas Puglia, Nick Mangia, Thomas Kemmet, Michael Carrotta & James Colgan had outstanding all-around games in the field and at the plate. The Braves' would like to wish everyone a happy Memorial Day! Let's go Braves!
