  • News: Third Precinct Holds Second Highly Informative Police Forum

Third Precinct Commanding Officer Inspector Vincent Muscarnera opened the precinct's second police forum, which was packed with residents, held in the meeting room of the New Hyde Park Fire House, by saying, "We are here tonight to tell you how accessible we are to all of you. Don't be afraid to call us anytime you see something you think appears to be suspicious. Just dial 911. We would far rather investigate something that might be a false alarm than to have you wait and call one or two days later after a burglary and tell us that yes, you did see a strange truck in the driveway, but didn't want to bother us. We need your eyes and ears and we need you to spread the word to all your civic organizations. It's up to all of us to look out for one another and to help us do the job for you." FULL STORY
