Parks Civic Association to Host Candidates Night
Parks Civic Association will host a Meet the Candidate Night at 8 p.m. at its Oct. 16 meeting in the New Hyde Park Memorial High School Cafeteria. The following candidates have been invited:
North Hempstead Supervisor Candidates - Frank Moroney (R), Jon Kaiman (D). District No. 3 candidates for town board trustee - Angelo Ferrara (R), Dennis Mortensen (D). District No. 5 candidates for town board trustee - Steve Shulman (R) and Tony D'Urso (D). All the candidates have indicated they will attend.
This will be the first election since councilmatic districts have taken effect and it will provide an opportunity for the community to ask questions and to hear the positions of those seeking office.

Meet the Candidates Night- Not a Debate
The Greater New Hyde Park Republican Club will hold its Annual Meet the Candidates Night at 8 p.m. at Marcus Christ Hall, corner of New Hyde Park Road and Jericho Turnpike, adjacent to New Hyde Park Village Hall. Candidates to Debate at Clinton Martin Park
The Lakeville Civic Association is sponsoring the Republican and Democrat candidates for the office of North Hempstead Town Supervisor, Frank Moroney (R) and Jon Kaiman (D). The candidates for the Fifth Ward Town Council, Angelo Ferrara (R) and Anthony D'Urso (D), will also be debating that same night. The debate will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Clinton Martin Park Recreational Center, corner of Marcus Avenue and New Hyde Park Road, New Hyde Park. Since this is an open forum residents are urged to attend and ask questions of the candidates.
News 12 Debate
On Monday, Oct. 13 the North Hempstead Town candidates for supervisor will debate at 7:30 p.m. on News 12. The candidates are Frank Moroney (R) and Jon Kaiman (D).
