In a Surprise, Unprecedented Move Herricks Board Reinstates Class
At the outset of the Herricks School Board meeting it was obvious that a topic was brewing that was not listed on the agenda. Parents started streaming into the meeting positioning themselves so that they could be heard.

New Hyde Park Hillside Library Holds Open House
The Hillside Library Board sent out much literature to announce an "open house" they were holding to discuss, one more time, the purchase of the Kismet building, on Lakeville Road, that they hope to convert into a library.

New Hyde/Park Wildcats Soccer Roundup
Welcome aboard for another soccer season! All Intramurals and Travel teams will be kicking off the season Sept. 6 and 7. MicroSoccer will begin September 13th. I wish you Good luck and enjoyment whether your playing or just watching this beautiful game. All coaches should be in contact with their Commissioners to verify what assignments they have regarding field preparations and officiating games. Let's hope for perfect fall weather throughout the season, making both playing and watching the games enjoyable. Let's make it fun for everyone and remember it's just a game. We have all committed to follow a Sports Code of Conduct mandated by our school districts for this and future seasons, let's abide by them. Thanks and I hope to see you during the season...Dominic
