Timely Exhibit
An exhibit of clocks built from outdated computer parts will be "ticking" in the Shelter Rock Public Library's showcases Sept. 2 - 29. Retired engineer Fred Neber of New Hyde Park designed and created the unique timepieces from his large collection of obsolete equipment. Neber's career in the telephone industry provided a background for his new hobby. Many of the clocks are contemporary and whimsical in appearance as well as vary by size, shape and color. While only some of the clocks chime, all keep time.
All exhibits are free and open to the public during regular library hours. The library is located at 165 Searingtown Road in Albertson. For hours and directions phone 248-7363 or online at webpage: www.nassaulibrary.org/shelter.
