  • News: Hillside Library to Hold Aug. 26 Open House on Building Plans

    On Aug. 26 the Hillside Library will host an open house to discuss the proposed building plans for Kismet Temple, the building they hope to buy. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. in the library. Representatives from the library architect, library board of trustees, staff and other professionals associated with the plan will be available to answer questions. All New Hyde Park residents are urged to attend this important meeting prior to the vote on Sept. 16 to decide whether or not to approve the plan to buy the Kismet site. On Sept. 16 the community will have an opportunity to vote on whether or not they choose to purchase the Kismet Temple for library use by approving a bond referendum of $8.9 million. FULL STORY
