The New York State Legislators overturned the veto of Governor George Pataki to have the school board budget voting dates remain as originally planned on May 20. The legislators had the votes to override his veto and voted to give the districts two more weeks and set the vote at June 3. This is a statewide mandate. FULL STORY

Travel try-outs for the new Boys and Girls U-10 teams that will field for the Fall 2003 LIJSL will be held: May 20 and May 21 with a raindate of May 22,. Try-outs will take place at Denton Ave. School Fields at: May 20 - 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.(Boys).....7:00p.m.-8:30 p.m. (Girls). May 21st, Wednesday - 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Girls)....7 to 8:30 p.m. (Boys) Registration for each Group will take place 30 minutes before the start of their try-outs.( i.e. 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. respectively). Please wear your Wildcat reversible jersey, shin guards and cleats, bring plenty of water, and your own ball. All current Intramural Spring 2003 registered Wildcats born August 1, 1993 thru December 31, 1994 are eligible. Attendance at both try-out dates is mandatory unless extreme circumstances have occurred. The number of teams that will field for each gender are dependant on several criteria: the number of participants and/or the adequate number of Adult Supervisors(Coach) that have submitted a letter of intent to coach.
