Only four residents attended the New Hyde Park/Garden City Park School Board "budget input" session held Monday night at the New Hyde Park Road School.

School Superintendent Joseph Rudaitis said he felt that the attendance was such because he has already had a chance to chat with many parents, PTA members and members of the Building Level Teams (BLTs) to receive their input on what they would like included in the next budget.

One resident did speak and commended the district on its aggressive approach to inclusion of the special education students in the regular classrooms.

The next New Hyde Park/Garden City Park School Board meeting will be held on Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. at the Hillside Grade School. On March 8, a Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon the school board will hold its Budget Presentation Meeting at the Manor Oaks School.
