School Board Trustee Axelsen to Resign to Run for Village Justice
New Hyde Park/Garden City Park School Board Trustee Curtis Axelsen announced, at the last meeting, that he will be resigning from the school board to run for New Hyde Park Village Justice. Village Justice is an available position in the village, as of Jan.1 when Village Justice Dave Sullivan will be elected sworn in as a Nassau County Court Judge.

New Hyde Park Wildcats Roundup
The Wildcats TOPSoccer team, consisting of 76 players, coaches and family, attended the annual TOPSoccer awards dinner at the Melville Marriott on Dec. 3. While dining on a delicious chicken dinner, the assembly of almost 500 people from all over Long Island was a true testament to the success of the entire program through Nassau and Suffolk.

Sewanhaka Girls' Hold Volleyball Marathon
Sewanhaka High and the Girls' Athletic Association would like to thank the many sponsors for their contributions to the 13th Annual Volleyball Marathon held on November 15, 2002. Through the support of our community merchants, parents, friends, teachers and the students involved we raised $7,910.00. Eighty students and ten teachers participated in the six hour event. Food and drink were donated and lots of fun was had by all.
