Construction managers for school renovations, Nick Amaruso and Mike Peck, reported at the last New Hyde Park/Garden City Park school board meeting that bids have been opened and they are both encouraged because the initial bids have come in "underbid." Further, it looks like some of the construction can soon begin. They explained that the safety fences are now being installed along with temporary parking lots and security gates. FULL STORY
