T.F.O’Brien 9-Year-Old All Stars (5)
Vs. East Meadow (8)
This was another super game by both E. Meadow and the All Stars, trading runs and the lead for 5 innings, until E. Meadow scored three runs in the top of the 6th inning for the win. The All Stars were led by Steven DePietto who played hurt after being hit a pitch in the 2nd inning. Despite playing on a sore knee Steven hit the ball hard and picked up 2 RBIs. Michael Ibrahim once again was awesome hitting a 200 foot triple down the right field line and scorching a single, scoring once with 1 RBI. Solid pitching performances were turned in by Drew Carrick, Joey Faller and David Luchino. Michael Cascio, Robert Scatorchio, John Fitzgerald, Chris Kelly and Matt Dillon played solid defense. The All Stars continue to learn and develop in these tournaments and are proving game after game how much they are a true All Star team. Way to go boys!
