Wildcat's Continental Division Soccer Festival

By Shelli Gimmelstein

Today was the Continental Division's end-of-season Soccer Festival, and we couldn't have picked better weather. After rescheduling the event due to rain, the sun shone brightly on a beautiful day as the boys displayed their soccer skills. Everyone really had a good time and a lot of fun as they moved around from station to station, showing their talents in dribbling, throwing, shooting, running, and passing. The boys got to shoot at a board and a net, trying to get the most points. They threw soccer balls and saw who threw the furthest. They also dribbled around cones and tried to beat their teammates' times.

All the boys proved how awesome they could play. All in all, everybody had a blast, as they played, sat with their friends, and received their awards. Both young Continentals and the seniors had a super time! The weather was perfect, everyone got certificates and trophies, and had a great last day of the season with their team. This Soccer Festival was held at the same time as the World Cup in South Korea, but I think the parents and players enjoyed our games more than any world-class match. Who knows? Maybe Wildcats is housing some of the world's best future players.

A big thanks goes to all the coaches and parents who helped out and taught the boys so many important things about the amazing game of soccer, which lives on through our club. As the soccer season comes to an end, we can celebrate on this afternoon our talented boys and all the good times that we have had. Well, we've had a super season. Let's have many more!

Tough Game for U-8 Division International Championship

By Greg Priest

Clash 2 Mutiny 0

This was the toughest game of the season for the Mighty Clash. The first half of the game was tough for both teams with a score of 0 to 0. Second half Adam Priest scored the first goal. Pratik Shal scored the second goal. Anthony Musacchia was and is a great goalie and Nick Dziomba was awesome in defense, nothing went by him. Kevin Towey and Matthew Maino were outstanding as strikers. Joseph Iaboni, Matthew Fogarty, Imaad Pasha and John Daily were great midfielders. This was a good season. I had fun teaching the boys soccer. Thanks to the parents for having patience at the long practices and congratulations to the Clash team for winning the championship game with a score of 2 to 0.
