Herricks Senior Expresses Outrage at Letter-to-Editor
At the outset of the last Herricks school board meeting senior liaison to the Herricks Senior Leisure Club, Tess Fiorentino, said she was outraged at the letter in the Illustrated News stating that, "perhaps seniors should move to Florida if they are upset about the increase in taxes."

It has been a tradition, for years that several days before the Belmont Stakes the jockeys from Belmont arrive at Ronald McDonald House, dressed in their colorful silks, to visit and cheer the sick children and their families.

Merillon Little League Baseball Scores
On a beautiful night for baseball the New Hyde Park Stationery Athletics edged out the Cellini Lodge Braves last night 19-17. Both teams played great and a good time was had by all. Tight defense and key hits by Austin Ward, Matt Ryan, Michael Nori and Domenick Fazzolari helped the A's cause. While Michael Ring, Andrew Pugliese, Joe Carbone, and Joe Kotarski showed speed and power. Outfield play by Domenico Fazzolari and Nicholas Driscoll was outstanding! First Base Coach Rocco did an excellent job helping runners find their way. Congratulations to Braves and Athletics for a terrific night of baseball!
