New Hyde Park residents expressed concern regarding a fire organization collecting funds in the New Hyde Park area. Unfortunately, the organization, New York Firefighters Foundation, sent out its material right in the middle of the New Hyde Park Firefighters fund drive.

In an emotional game on Saturday, the Delizia Tigers were not able to hold off the Baxter Sports Shop Reds and were defeated by a score of 8 - 6. Despite only allowing one hit, the Tiger pitching staff allowed too many walks and their record fell to 4 - 4.
