April 6 has been designated "Make a Little Difference Day" in Williston Park. Under the direction of the Beautification Committee, the village will undergo a spring cleanup. Different groups in the community are urged to join to promote spirit and pride in the village as everyone makes a difference and cleans up.

With help, the Jack T. Zwiebel Little Park at the corner of Willis and Fordham, the gazebo on Hillside Avenue, the refurbished sump area and a few other designated areas along Hillside and Willis will be cleaned.

Groups are urged to lend a hand on April 6th for one hour or two. Everyone will meet in the parking lot of the village hall at 10 a.m. and be given an assignment. A leader or chaperone must accompany each group. Garbage bags will be provided, but request that each group supply their own rakes, shovels and brooms.

This is the fourth year of "Make a Little Difference Day" and it is hoped this year's event will be even bigger than ever. If you would like to participate, please call Doreen Ehrbar at 747-8219 or Maryann McDermott at 746-0052 or you may leave a message at the village hall at 746-2193.
