The New Hyde Park Wildcats Board of Directors would like to congratulate the following teams (coaches, players and parents) for winning LIJSL Sportsmanship awards for the Fall 2001 season.:

Boys: U-11 Tomcats, U-12 Mountain Lions, U-13 Pumas, U-13 Tigers.

Girls: U-10 Magic Cats, U-10 Soccer Cats, U-1 Lady Panthers, U-19 Kick Cats.

Congratulations, we are very proud of your fine representation of our club.

U-6 team competes in National Soccer Tournament. Five friends began a fun-filled journey back in June of 2001. They competed in the local Got Milk? 3v3 tournament. They finished first of all the U-6 teams and third among a mixed U-6/U-7 division. Because of there fine finish, they qualified for the Regional tournament. In August, the boys competed in East Brunswick, New Jersey. Although they did not place as well as they had hoped, they did qualify for the National Competition. After hours of planning, plane tickets, condo rentals, car rentals, the boys and their families went to Disneyworld for the National Finals in January. They played excellent on Saturday and went on to the playoffs on Sunday. Even though they lost in the playoffs, they managed to score over 30 goals together proving to have a lot of skill and heart. We are very proud of them.
