Nicolello/Altmann Inducted for Fourth Time
In a gala celebration, packed with elected officials, appointees and other dignitaries,and observed by what looked like members of a swat team, complete with full uniform and rifles, the 19 Nassau County legislators were inducted last week in a ceremony held at Nassau Community College. Doing the swearing-in honors for the group was United States District Court Judge Arthur D. Spatt, who has performed the group induction since its inception.

New Hyde Park School Board Gears Up for Budget Meetings
The first school board meeting of the year 2002 was held at the Garden City Park School on Monday. At that time the New Hyde Park/Garden City Park School Board presented its list of budget meeting dates and corrected the date that appeared in the school calendar for the school board budget vote and election for 2002. The date of the budget vote and the school board election is May 21, 2002 and is to be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Manor Oaks School, Hillside Avenue, New Hyde Park.
