Seniors, Justina Hakimi and Jeffrey Teitelbaum were honored as the Outstanding Physical Physical Education Students from Herricks High School. Two students were selected from every high school in Nassau County and honored at a dinner sponsored by the Nassau Zone of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

Schools were directed to choose their honorees based on the following criteria; fitness level, sportsmanship, character, and service.
