State Bank of Long Island Brings Holiday Cheer to Many

Once again this year the folks at State Bank of Long Island, led by Senior Vice President Robert J. Valli, traveled to the adult day care centers at AHRC for a holiday songfest.

This year the group from the bank was expanded as well as the group from AHRC and the entire atmosphere was more festive than it had been in past years.

AHRC, the Day Treatment facility in Brookville, welcomed State Bank of Long Island with a giant sign. Holding the sign: Musical Director/Therapist Norman Glanzman, Pat Tobin with the North Hempstead Town clerk's office; State Bank mailroom coordinator George Paspatis; Laura Schiavone, executive staff assistant to Robert Valli; Gina Mingoia, management trainee; Senior Vice President Valli; Assistant Vice President Mary Durkin, Senior Vice President Thomas Arnone; Manager Rockville Centre branch Ann Goulding and AHRC Coordinator of Entertainment Janice Shear.

A giant Christmas tree adorned with lots of lights, bows and red, white and blue ribbons and a Menorah both adorned the stage as well as a giant cut-out Santa.

The highlight of the event, as usual, was when the clients came up to the stage and joined in the singing with the State Bank folks. Clearly, everyone had a super time.

The group then took their show "on the road" and stopped by the Variety Pre-School in Syosset, a school for special children run by very special principal, teachers and volunteers.

State Bank of Long Island also stopped by at Abilities in Albertson and ended its holiday sing at the Roslyn AHRC Day Care facility joined by many of the public officials at the Town of North Hempstead. Those photos will appear in next week's issue.
