North Hempstead Town Councilman and candidate for North Hempstead Town Supervisor Angelo Ferrara will be on the Republican Line 4-A in the upcoming Sept. 11 primary.
When Ferrara was elected North Hempstead Town Councilman four years ago he brought to the position a wealth of experience in community service. Combined with his experience as a highly successful businessman he quickly established himself as one of the town's most innovative and active council members.

Ferrara in a recent interview said, "My credentials for the complex and demanding job of town supervisor are unprecedented. I seek to bring my life experiences together now to benefit all the people in the wonderful Town of North Hempstead."
Ferrara continued, "The job of town supervisor is one that requires the fiscal skills of a successful business person, the commitment of one who loves his community, a broad knowledge of government and the courage to be the kind of leader that will champion the people, not the special interests. These are the qualities and commitments I will bring to the position of supervisor."
Candidate Angelo Ferrara has been an integral part of the New Hyde Park community for over 30 years. He and his wife Pat raised their five children there participating in a wide range of community, fraternal and charitable organizations including: past president and co-founder of the Greater Herricks Civic Association; A 17-year coach of the Merillon Athletic Association; board member of SASS Cancer Reseach Foundation; board member of the L. I. Alzheimers Foundation; board member of the Dante Foundation; executive director of the Heart Council of Long Island and a member of all the following: Cellini Lodge Sons of Italy, Mineola Lions Club, Knights of Columbus and County Seat Kiwanis.
Ferrara concluded, "My priorities as supervisor will include protecting the pocketbooks of our taxpayers, eliminating waste and duplication of services, encouraging resident participation at board meetings, protecting our environment and ensuring there is open and honest government throughout the town."
The Sept. 11 GOP Primary will be held throughout the Town of North Hempstead from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at regular polling locations.
