New Hyde Park Estates Engine Company Celebrates Anniversary
Sixty years ago Leon Korrell was instrumental in forming the New Hyde Park Fire Department's Estates Engine Co. No. 3 and on a recent very hot and sunny Sunday the members of the engine company, dignitaries and members of the community gathered to honor Chaplain Korrell for his hard work and dedication.

Herricks Updates Building Projects/ Assistant Principal Search
At the Herricks Board meeting there was a brief update on the progress of the construction and school refurbishing projects for the various schools in the district delivered by Director of Facilities James Brown. He said that extensive work is progressing on the second floor bathrooms of the high school to make them ADA (Americans With Disabilities Act) compatible. He said that a wall was taken out in the girl's bathroom to make it wheelchair accessible and new plastic partitions will be installed to make both facilities ADA compatible. He added that this phase of the work is "ahead of schedule."

Ladies Day Tennis in the Hamptons
Recently, SPORTIME at Roslyn tennis club arranged a fun and sun-filled day trip to their sister SPORTIME Amagansett club for "Ladies Day Tennis in the Hamptons". A vivacious group of 36 lovely tennis and sport members joined hundreds of fellow World Team Tennis enthusiasts from several of the 12 Long Island SPORTIME club locations.
