Managers Vito Pucci and Tom Murphy
Well, another Merillon spring season comes to a close. The Pace Pharmacy Blue Jays were eliminated from the playoffs by the hard-charging NHP Wireless Mariners in the semifinals. The Blue Jays played a tough game but came up short. At this time I would like to thank the Blue Jays individually for giving myself and coach Charlie another great season. Jordan Fox, Neil (el gato) Bisciello, Jordan Buff, Tom Fasano, Shelvin Sam, Gabe Gonzalas, John Ganz, Anthony Perrone, Thomas Cunningham, Michael Jandovitz, Anthony Zammit and last but not least my son Michael. Thank you guys for a great season, I hope each of you had as much fun playing as I had coaching. You boys are a terrific group; we won and lost as a team and although we didn't go all the way you guys are winners in my eyes. I'd also like to thank you parents for putting up with a sometimes hectic schedule between practices and games. I'd also like to thank Dave Jandovitz, Scott Fox, Tony Perrone and Troy Buff for always stepping up when Charlie and I needed a hand. I'd also like to thank team photographer Dr. Thomas Cunningham for the great photos. Especially I would like to thank my good friend Charlie Zammit for putting up with me during the season.

The Greenpoint Savings Bank Dodgers finished their season on championship Saturday with an amazing game. All the boys are hitting great without the tee. Joey Citriniti, Steven Curran and Steven Ambrosio all hit doubles! Hits by Max Nero, Joey D'Amico, Kevin Padilla and Anthony Pesiri helped the team. Great fielding plays by John Anthony DiMaria and Christopher Rocco at third base. Brandon Chow did a superb job playing catcher for the first time. Congratulations to Steven Ambrosio for an incredible triple play! Coach Mike and Coach Billy want to thank all the players for a dazzling season. We are impressed with the improvements of each player. Everyone deserved their trophies. You are all winners!
