Every once in a while, in this crazy newspaper business, you meet people who are involved in areas that you cover who are so wonderful that they become your friends...good friends. They don't call just when they want something published in the paper, but just to say hello. That is the case of the Chairman of the Board of Merillon Little League Tony Camilleri and his lovely wife Anne...I am so very proud to call them friends.

So it is only fitting and proper that the Merillon Little League honored them at its 50th Anniversary Dance for their 25 years with the league because it gave me an opportunity to honor them in the newspaper as well.

It would be hard to describe the amount of work they both put into the day-to-day operation of the Merillon Little League or to describe their dedication and devotion to the children in the league. I can only say the league is lucky to have such a team...a team that has contributed 25 years of hard work helping them to have 50 years of success.

So, Tony and Ann, let me add my small voice to the many accolades you received...you both more than deserved them....you're the best!
