Merillon Honors Anthony Camilleri for 25 Years of Dedication
The Merillon Little League held a very festive 50th Anniversary Dinner Dance last Friday night at the New Hyde Park Inn. But without a doubt the highlight of the event was the fact that the league honored Tony Camilleri for 25 years of devoted dedication.

Merillon Baseball Little League Scores
Both teams demonstrated timely hitting and sparkling defense. For the Cardinals Christian Theodoropoulos went 2 for 3 with two runs scored, Christopher Kelly went 2 for 3 with a homerun and one RBI, John Fitzgerald went 2 for 3 with a triple, homerun and four RBIs and David Luchino went 2 for 3 with a homerun and two RBIs. Both David (two innings) and Christian (one inning) pitched solid for the team. Matthew Dillon hit a homerun in and played at the catcher position. Michael Ali, Johnny Mahon, Matthew Magenheim, Sal Signorelli and Thomas Perniciaro played outstanding defense.

New Hyde Park Wildcats Soccer Roundup
Tryouts for the new boys and girls fall 2001 travel teams will be held on June 5 and 6 at the Denton Ave. Field. The raindate is June 7. Tryouts are open only to currently registered intramural players whose birthdays fall between 8-1-91 and 12-31-92.
