The air was charged with excitement at Marcus Christ Community Hall last week and the hall was bursting at the seams as community members, dignitaries and families of the newly elected village board members crowded to attend inauguration ceremonies. It was the first time in years that New Hyde Park Village government was handed over to a brand new slate of officers including Mayor Daniel Petruccio; Trustees: Donald Barbieri and Lawrence J. Montreuil. They will join Trustees Robert Lofaro and Richard Coppola who were voted as board trustees two years ago. David Sullivan was sworn in as Village Justice and Robert Morici as Acting Village Justice to round out the village board.
