Superintendent Dr. Ronald Barnes explained in discussing the revision of class size guidelines that at this time there is no move to change the class guidelines because there is no necessity at this time. In a lengthly discussion among New Hyde Park Board members in response to residents' concerns for school parking, it was decided that signs would be posted on Belmont Avenue that would state "no standing." It was the feeling of the board that there are "no parking" signs in the area, but if parents are just "standing" and waiting for their children that does not constitute "parking."
