At the Annual Herricks School Board Reorganizational meeting held last week the board voted for Emilia Sutz as its president and Keith DeMarco as its vice-president. In each instance trustee Christine Turner abstained from voting. FULL STORY

Karl V. Anton, Jr., publisher and editor-in-chief of Anton Community Newspapers, died Saturday morning at his home in North Merrick with his wife Angela Susan Anton by his side. His death followed a short illness of cancer. He was 81 years old. FULL STORY
