Herricks Board Agrees to Present $24,268,513 Bond
After working two nights, in front of packed audiences, on what to include and what to omit in the bond to be re-submitted to the public the Herricks School Board came to consensus and voted on a bond in the amount of $24, 268, 513 to be put before the voters on June 27, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The revised bond proposition was drafted just in time to take advantage of the 10 percent Capital Improvement incentive offered by the New York State Education Department deadline of June 30.
On May 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Clinton Martin Park Recreational Center, Marcus Avenue and New Hyde Park Road, New Hyde Park, the civic associations in New Hyde Park including Lakeville Estates, North Lakeville, Parks Civic Association, Greenway, Manhasset Hills, Herricks, Floral Park Centre and Holiday Gate will sponsor an informational meeting regarding the Lockheed Martin/Sperry property.
