Councilman D'Urso Comments on Pending Hillside "Improvements"
Recently North Hempstead Town Deputy Supervisor/Councilman Anthony D'Urso and Councilwoman Doreen Banks met with New York State Department of Transportation project manager to go over the plans for the proposed pending"improvements" anticipated for Hillside Avenue that involves the entire stretch of the Hillside Avenue corridor.

New Hyde Park Memorial Honors New Key Club Members
The New Hyde Park Memorial Key Club recently held a "Pot Luck" dinner in which new members were honored for their work in the community. The Key Club, through the leadership of faculty advisor Mr. Vincent Scott, has enjoyed phenomenal success in its mission of community service. The new members have continued the activist tradition of NHP Key Club by volunteering their time in their many projects. Among other things, the Key Club members shovel snow for seniors, assist elementary students with the transition to high school, and raise money for charitable purposes, including the fight against Iodine Deficiency Disorder and cancer.

Well, it's that time of the year again! Next weekend our fields will be filled with eager children and parents as it marks our opening games of the new millennium. We would like to wish all our teams good luck and a fun-filled season, and we would like to thank all our coaches and parents for their hard work to make our opening day a success.
