Opinion

As an attorney, husband and father raising his family in New Hyde Park, I appreciate the impact a qualified and compassionate judiciary has on our lives. Fortunately, we have an extremely qualified person running for the 3rd District Court this November.

Judge David Sullivan has distinguished himself as the New Hyde Park Village Judge. As Village Judge he resolved a case backlog, while earning the respect of prosecutors, defense counsel and defendants alike.

Judge Sullivan's experience as a Nassau County District Attorney included prosecuting serious felony cases, some of which resulted in life sentences. As Judge Belfi's Law Secretary, David Sullivan worked on such high profile cases as the Colin Ferguson - Long Island Rail Road Massacre trial. Once again, he earned the respect and admiration of the Court and victims alike.

His vast legal experience and reputation has earned him our vote for the Third District Court, Nassau County. That is why he is endorsed by: NYS Fraternal Order of Police, Court Officers Benevolent Association of Nassau, Fire Marshal Benevolent Association, Fraternal Order of Court Officers, Italian Court Officers of Nassau & Suffolk Counties, Nassau County Police Benevolent Association, Nassau County Superior Officers, Nassau County Detectives Association, New York City Detectives Endowment, New York City Police Benevolent Association, New York Sergeants Association, Nassau Police Conference, New York State Supreme Court Officers, New York State Clerks Association, New York Court Officers Union, Metropolitan Police Conference, and the CSEA Region 1.

I urge everyone to Vote for Judge David Sullivan on Tuesday, November 2nd.

Anthony Pearl
