At the outset of the last New Hyde Park/Garden City Park School Board meeting trustee Martin Cernese, who is also the president of the Sewanhaka Central School Board, announced that last Monday evening, between 8 and 9 p.m., fire destroyed the guidance wing of Sewanhaka High School. FULL STORY

Toward the end of the New Hyde Park/Garden City Park School Board meeting, held last week, Vice President James Kane, conducting the meeting for absent President Lawrence Montreuil, read a letter from the New York State Education Department.
