The Herricks School District went back to school on Tuesday with a delayed-hour schedule. Prior to the opening of school each building held a meeting of the school principal and the teachers to welcome everyone back from a very long, hot summer. FULL STORY

Don't forget to mark your calendar for Saturday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. That's the date of the New Hyde Park Wildcats fall season kick-off parade. All teams are asked to assemble in uniform at the municipal parking lot on the corner of Jericho Turnpike and Central Blvd. at 9:30 a.m. The parade will follow Jericho Turnpike to New Hyde Park Road and then east on Hillside Avenue to the William R. Bowie grade school. After the parade a coach's game will follow at the grade school. Come on out and support the athletes as we kick off another season of soccer. FULL STORY
