Hillside Beverage 6

The F&F Roofing Dodgers scored 12 runs in a 12-6 victory over the Giants. Led by the offensive power of John Ganz, Dominic Regalbuto, Eddie Kalinowski and John Weizel contributed eight runs. The fielding of Robert Butler, Michael Durante, Robbie Ferlazzo, Richard Caruso, Gabriel Gonzalez and Sammy Wilbur held the Giants to only six runs. Keep up the good work Dodgers.

The New Hyde Park Stationery Cubs played another great game and beat the Braves by the score of 12-2. The star of the game was Chris Pisciotta with a home run in the first inning and an unassisted double play in the fifth. Chris Sanchez, Nick Calderon, Dan Graham and Billy Campbell all ripped the ball hard and each got on base at least twice. Frank Sarro and Matt Westfall did great jobs behind the plate. The defense was tremendous and made almost no mistakes. Great job boys, keep it up.

H. Edward Athletics 3

The New Hyde Park Stationery Cubs played another great game in the field and beat the Athletics by the score of 4-3. Chris Sanchez, Matt Geus, Tommy Graziano, Jason Westfal and Brett Speilberg smashed the ball all day. The play of the day was Danny Graham applying the tag at first on a runner rounding the bag; snuffing out a rally in the making Billy Campbell caught a tough fly ball earlier in the game. Well played game by both teams. Our guys did a great job of playing as a team and making the difficult plays. Well done!

George's Deli 9

Hillside Beverage 10

I can only think of one word to sum up this thriller between the George's Deli Expos and the Hillside Beverage Giants and that word is wow. Defensively the Expos were awesome with Neil Bisciello, Anthony Zammit and Mike Marsigliano making almost impossible plays. Peter Pecora made an outstanding play coming off the mound on a hard hit grounder. Bobby Montoni was fantastic in the outfield. The Expos bats were quiet most of the game but came alive in the last inning. Down by seven runs Bobby Montoni and Neil Bicsiello started things off with back to back singles. Anthony Zammit then cracked a long double to centerfield knocking in a run. David Rodgers then knocked in a run on a fielder's choice. Adrian Silva, Thomas Cunningham, Paul Conte and Michael Pucci all singled each sending a run home. Peter Pecora then hit a line double to tie the score. The Expos fell one run short when the hard hitting Giants scored the winning run in the last of the sixth.

The F&F Roofing Dodgers scored 12 runs in a 12-5 victory over the Braves. Dr. Barbaro's Pirates 6

On a brisk Tuesday evening, Dr. Barbaro's Pirates lost a heartbreaker to Lazio Pizza Tigers by a score of 7-6. Despite the final score, Dr. Barbaro's Pirates displayed great skill and effort. The Pirates were sparked by clutch hitting of Gary O'Keefe who drove in two runs with a hard single and the hitting of Nicholas Lipinski, Chris Kassoff, Michael Santalesa and Cory Williams.

The game was also filled with sparkling defensive plays by Cory Williams, Robert Pergament, Michael Santalesa, Frank Bayerbach, John Coster and John Karahalis and superb in your face pitching of Chris Kassoff and Robert Pergament.

Nuzzi Fuel Mariners 14

Dr. Barbarao Pirates 4

Nuzzi Fuel Mariners banged out 15 hits on there way to their third victory of the year over the Dr. Barbaro Pirates. Solid all around play from Matt Loosen and Jamie Brolly (pitching and hitting) led the way. Every player contributed with at least an RBI or run scored. RBIs from Ethan Loosen, Chris Murphy, Robert Maer, Kris Kapela (2H), Pedro Suarez (2H), Matt Nathan and Paul Roantree. Runs scored by Danny Sasso, John Hunt and Nicky Cusumano (2H).

CDM Tire Supply 13

Lazio Pizza Tigers 7

The CDM Tire Rockies showed a lot of guts and determination overcoming a 7-0 deficit and defeat Lazio Pizza in an all around well played game by both teams. Tommy Brennan led the Rockies with three hits. Matt Morana chipped in with two hits and also scored two runs. Sean McGonigle and Robert Graziano each scored two times. Andrew Arenth helped out with an RBI single in the fifth. John Ferlazzo, Frank Miranda and Matt Psallidas each scored a run. John Morana had a huge bases loaded double in the third inning. Anthony Prisco had a strong game behind the plate. Steve Cialone scored on run and drove in another with a long fly ball to center. Matt Morrisey had a hit and scored a run. He also pitched three scoreless innings to seal the victory. Congratulations to both teams on a well played game.

New Hyde Park Wireless 8

Williston Park 2

New Hyde Park Wireless Angels took on a formidable Williston Park team and came away winners by a score of 8-2. Stephen Rampulla scored on a Matt Santalesa hit up the middle to start things off and the kids kept on hitting after that. Singles by Martin Kuracz (RBI), Robbie Picolla (RBI), Ron Millillo (RBI) and a sizzling triple by Craig Losi that was called out due to infraction that was debated to no avail. Great shot Craig, next time. Key walks by Mike Lieber (who scored) and Dennis O'Connel. Billy Campbell (one walk), went four shut out innings on the hill and was relieved by Marty Kuracz and Sammy Pizzichillo who got the save. Vishal Vaghela made two late inning outs at shortstop to seal the victory for the New Hyde Park Wireless Angels.

Pace Pharmacy 16

These young ladies on the Pace Pharmacy Pals are amazing! Once again they were victorious over New Hyde Park by a score of 16-9. We had our second and third extra base hits of the season by Meaghan Fitzpatrick and Jaclyn Liebowitz. Meaghan was crushing the ball all day; she was 3 for 4, hitting an awesome double and two singles. Jaclyn was also 3 for 4 with a double. Amelia Dicicco, Jacqueline O'Connell and Kathleen Nicolello were all 4 for 4, getting good solid hits. Julie Hundertmark was 3 for 3, hitting the ball very well. Katie Hundertmark, Valerie Fiore and Nicole Daly were all 3 for 4, hitting great shots. Julianne Saraceno, Nicole Daly and Jaclyn Liebowitz made fantastic plays at first base and Alyssa Micelli, Valerie Fiore and Amelia Dicicco did great work behind the plate. These young ladies are really racking up the RBIs. Excellent outing girls!

Pace Pharmacy 10

New Hyde Park 7

Once again the Pace Pharmacy Pals showed their skills on the field. We came from behind, being down by a score of 6-0 going into the third inning, and winning by a score of 10-7. These young ladies played very tough, both at bat and in the field. Our hitting stars were Nicole Daly, ending the game with a strong double up the middle, Julianne Saracena, Kathleen Nicolello and Jacqueline O'Connell who was 3 for 4 after getting hit in the chin with a ball. Jacqueline showed her determination by playing hard after getting hurt. We all applaud Jacqueline! We had some major league plays in the field by Meaghan Fitzpatrick, Jaclyn Liebowitz and Alyssa Dicicco. All the girls are showing excellent base running, especially our lead off hitter, Jennifer Fazzolari, who has tremendous speed to first base. Good work girls!

Lazio Deli 8 - Port Washington 6

Well, we done it. We won a game. Lazio Deli Merillon Minor Girls Softball team, won their game with a score of 8 to 6. The teams were evenly matched. Port Washington played with all their heart and so did we. It was a great game. With outstanding plays by Brynn Dowdell, Samantha Sanginiti and Eileen Dillon. I want you all to know that Lazio Deli has great spirit. The girls were so happy after the game, that they gave three cheers to Port Washington and told them that it was a pleasure to play against them. I know that we have a great team and they showed it that night.

Greenpoint Savings 14

Glen Oaks 6

The Greenpoint team lost a tough game to Glen Oaks by a score of 14-6. Roseann Malizia and Kim Vrabel pitched their hearts out. Samantha Epstein had a great game behind the plate while Erin McGuillicuddy played a strong left field. Lauren Scida, Caitlin Petruccio and Kim Stein had good at bats with each of them reaching base at least once. It was one of those days where every ball hit by Glen Oaks seemed to find a hole. Good try team.

Greenpoint Savings vs. Glen Oaks

The Greenpoint team played another tough game against Glen Oaks. Maggie Morissey, Chrissy Lieber and Julia Diolallevi led the team, hitting the ball hard all day. Kim Stein and Erin McGuillicuddy did a great job behind the plate. Maggie Morissey and Victoria Pisciotta pitched very well but a few defensive lapses were the difference in the game. The girls fell behind early but mounted a strong comeback that was stopped by the thunder and lightning. We will get them next time. Good effort.

Meldon Silverman 13

New Hyde Park #3 9

The Meldon Silverman Blue Furby's in a combined defensive and offensive fashion beat a tough New Hyde Park team 13 to 9. Kristi Gottlieb continued her tremendous pitching by holding down New Hyde Park hitters for three strong innings. Alicia DeMarco pitched the final three innings and made some super fielding plays.

Our offensive firepower came from Jennifer Fabian who had four solid hits including a long home run in the centerfield gap. Suzie Jozkowski hit her third home run of the season and Danielle Losonci smashed a long home run to left field. The back to back to back home runs provided a cushion to keep the girls ahead to stay. Kristina Argenzio and Michelle Fazzolari had run scoring singles and Kristina Argenzio had a nice drive to left field for a double. Sara Rhindress did a fabulous job catching our two pitchers, and Diana Cotilletta made another fantastic catch to save some runs. Jenna Leitman and Monica Soluri also had some clutching hits and heads up base running. It was a team victory.

Fleet Bank 25 - Mineola 5

The girls from Fleet Bank had a strong game on a very cold night in under the lights game against Mineola, whom they just beat the week before by a score of 15-14. Katie Rhindress had a great game at catcher and added a single and a walk. Katie Rafferty added two walks. Corrine Tisei added three walks, single and four runs scored. Jessica Shacor had two walks, single and three runs scored Stefanie Weitzel had four walks, and three runs scored. Karen Ernst had a sac fly (Corrine tagging up), walk and a single, Keri Ann Rudd pitched great and had two singles, two walks and four runs scored. Casandra Malizia had a single, two walks, two runs scored and was hurt sliding in on a steal of home. Casandra suffered a bad bruise, but was back for the next game ready to go. Danielle Young added three walks and two runs scored. Stephanie Vitable had three walks. Stephanie Ligouri and Kaitlyn Kerrane added a walk. Christina Lipinski and Tara Tloczkowski had a single and two walks. Stephanie Ligouri made a great catch of a high fly in right field. Stephanie Vitable made a great play from her first base position throwing to Karen Ernst at home who tagged out the sliding runner.

Port Washington 13 - Fleet Bank 4

Fleet Bank suffered their first defeat of the year in a game shortened to four innings by rain. The rain eliminated the girls chance to show their come from behind talent. Our record is now 5-1. Stephanie Ligouri and Christina Lipinski both made great plays in the outfield, throwing out runners on what would have been hits. Jessica Shacor made many great fielding plays at short getting force outs at second with Kara Tloczkowski and Christina Lipinski covering second. Stacy Denison had a great double and a walk. Christina Lipinski had a single. Katie Rhindress had two singles and ran the bases perfectly adding a run scored. Katie also did a great job behind the plate. Stefanie Weitzel had two hits. Jessica Shacor and Stephanie Vitable added solid singles and runs scored.

Fleet Bank 20 - Glen Oaks 17

The girls of Fleet Bank outhit a good Glen Oaks team. In the last inning the game ended on a great catch of a fly ball in left field by Stephanie Vitable, who relayed the ball to Stefanie Weitzel, who threw home to Stacy Denison, who applied the tag on the runner for the third out. Stephanie Ligouri stole home and caught a fly at shortstop. Katie Rhindress and Stacy Denison stole two bases a piece and played great games at the catcher's position. Danielle Young caught a great line drive. Danielle also had a single, double and four RBIs. Stephanie Ligouri had two singles and two RBIs. Stephanie Vitable had a single, double and three RBIs. Stacy Denison had a single. Stefanie Weitzel had a single and a double. Katie Rhindress had a single and two RBIs. Christina Lipinski had a single and scored three runs. Katie Rafferty had two singles and four RBIs. Kaitlyn Kerrane had two singles and three RBIs. Keri Ann Rudd had three singles and three runs scored.
