I have been a resident of the Herricks School District for 46 years. I have been active in the Herricks Senior Center for many years where I serve as a volunteer on Tuesdays. I enjoy my time at the center because of the activities and the friends I have made. We have become an extended family watching out for each other.

I have recently met Neil Hershberg who is running for our school board. He is a nice gentleman who is very concerned about all aspects of the district, including the senior citizens. I noticed that he is a good listener and a caring individual. These are traits that are very important for any school board member. He is an educated man who obviously is concerned about the district. I too, remember when I had a young family and was involved in the Herricks School District as he is now. I hope that he gets the chance to serve our community and do some good. I ask you to join me in supporting him when you vote on May 18.
