    Last Tuesday afternoon a call was received at Herricks High School threatening that therewas a bomb in the cafeteria. Superintendent Sidney Freund said that he immediately notified the police and the bomb squad and the building was evacuated in a very orderly fashion FULL STORY

    Herricks School Board Vice-President Christine Turner announced a few weeks ago that she plans to run for re-election to the Herricks School Board. FULL STORY

  • SPORTS: Merillon Little League Scores

    The girls from Fleet Bank outscored the East Williston team 22-1. Stefanie Weitzel, Stacy Denison and Corrine Tisei were the pitching stars. Stacy Denison and Stephanie Ligouri made great plays in the outfield, charging potential singles into the outfield and making perfect throws to second and first base respectively. Kerri Ann Rudd made a great catch of a line drive running into foul territory. Danielle Young and Corrine Tisei also caught hard line drives at short. Stefanie Weitzel and Danielle Young both stole home with great aggressiveness. Kara Tloczkowski had two singles, a walk and three runs scored. Kerri Ann Rudd had four walks and four runs scored.
