Springtime Is Approaching and It's Time to "Kick Off 99"

The start of our 1999 Merillon Baseball/Softball season begins with our annual "Merillon Kick-Off Classic" Nights at the Clinton G. Martin Park on Marcus Avenue. In an effort to make things easier for our Merillon families we have limited the festivities to two evenings with two sessions on each night. Each "Kick-Off" night will be held at the Senior Citizen Facility located at Clinton G. Martin Park on Marcus Avenue and New Hyde Park Road.

1. Information about the 1999 season will be discussed.

A. Trip to Shea Stadium - B. Annual Picnic - C. Fund Raising

2. Players will meet their coaches and teammates.

3. Uniform hats will be given out to all players.

Kick-Off Night Wednesday, March 24

6:30-7:30 p.m. - All instructional players (ages 5 and 6)

8-9 p.m. - Boys majors and girls majors (ages 11-12). Girls seniors (13, 14 and 15).

Kick-Off Night Thursday, March 25

6:30-7:30 p.m. - Boys farms and girls farms (ages 7 and 8)

8-9 p.m. - Boys minors and girls minors (ages 9 and 10).

* Player's ages as of July 31, 1999 determines which division they play in

This will be a short, yet extremely important meeting. We ask, therefore, that you make every effort to attend. We would ask that at least one parent accompany each child for this important and informative meeting. This is a great time to meet the Merillon board members, managers and coaches...and ask any questions about our upcoming season. If there are any questions about this event, please contact Dan Petruccio at 775-8694. We look forward to seeing you at one of our "Kick Off Classic" nights.
