The village elections are being held on March 16 for the villages of New Hyde Park, Williston Park and East Williston. The hours for the most part are from noon to 9 p.m., but check with your individual village halls to make sure.

The only contested election is in the Village of East Williston between incumbent Mayor Janet Sedacca and Mayoral Candidate Nancy Zolezzi. The candidates for New Hyde Park Village are Trustees Rich Coppola and Robert Lofaro, who are uncontested and Williston Park Trustee Ray Cross, who is also uncontested.

However, we do urge all the residents to show their support for these dedicated candidates and get out and vote.
