It has recently come to our attention that some of you have received letters soliciting contributions for the Hempstead Volunteer Fire Department.

We would like to advise you that the Hempstead Fire Department does not provide fire and ambulance services to the residents and business owners of the New Hyde Park Fire District nor are the members of that department authorized to solicit funds within the confines of this district.

Fire and ambulance services in the New Hyde Park Fire District are provided by the New Hyde Park Fire Department. The only fund drive authorized in the New Hyde Park Fire District is the annual subscription drive conducted by the members of the New Hyde Park Fire Department. Solicitations for this drive are made on New Hyde Park Fire Department stationery and contributions are requested to be made to the New Hyde Park Fire Department.

Please read carefully any material you might receive requesting donations and contribute only to the legitimate subscription drive of the New Hyde Park Fire Department.
