The newly formed Village Party of the Village of New Hyde Park held a rally last week to announce its candidates to run for the village election to be held on March 16.
An overflow of enthusiastic supporters crowded together to cheer on candidates Lofaro, Coppola and Sullivan. Lofaro and Coppola will run for two trustee seats and Sullivan, who is currently the village justice, will run for a full term having been appointed to replace former Justice Robert Morici, who has moved out of the village. Sullivan has received endorsement from both parties.
At press time the incumbent party has not announced if its trustees Robert Seldomridge and William Fischl plan to seek reelection.
